    I think the two coolest parts about this is the fact that you installed the dust collector OUTSIDE of the shop (to take up less floor real estate and to have it on a remote. Pure genius.

    Wouldn’t it have been easier to move the motor past the stud so it would not have to be plumbed in? Also, when ever you attach vacuum lines to the main line if possible have them come into the main run from the top of the line. This keeps the incoming dust from falling back into your branch line.

    QUESTION: Why on earth do you need a dust collector? Why not just have that turbine blowing the dirt/air outside? If you blow it at a fence, then you can have a pile build up, then you can move it with a shovel.
